Mobile ESPN: Wireless Service for the Sports Fanatic

Mobile ESPN, the first national U.S. wireless service for sports fans, is set to launch in four premier markets on November 1st. Best Buy locations in Austin, Tex; Minneapolis; Reno, Nev; and San Antonio, TX will be the first to offer Mobile ESPN products and services. Mobile ESPN will offer customizable ESPN content including real-time scores, breaking news, commentary and analysis; fantasy sports information and team management; audio and video programming; and MP3 audio playback capability. Mobile ESPN will operate as a mobile virtual network operator (MVNO) utilizing Sprint’s nationwide network for wireless voice and data service taking advantage of the Sprint’s EVDO (Evolution Data Optimized) service.

Equipment pricing and plans are not yet available, Mobile ESPN will be available for purchase at Best Buy locations in the available markets or at www.mobileespn.com, the exclusive Web site for purchase online.
