
BlackBerry 8700C Coming Soon to Cingular

Research In Motion (RIM) and Cingular Wireless announced today the long awaited BlackBerry 8700C. The 8700C is the first BlackBerry device to support high-speed data access via EDGE network technology. BlackBerry 8700c users can expect noticeably faster web browsing, application performance and attachment viewing while utilizing Cingular’s EDGE network and Intel’s PXA901 cellular processor, code-named Hermon. The device will also come with 64MB of flash memory and 16MB of SRAM. According to RIM the 8700C will be available in the U.S. exclusively from Cingular Wireless beginning November 21, priced @ $299.99 with a two-year service agreement.
