Device Specifications BlackBerry 8700C

Research In Motion has released the overall device specifications of the new Intel powered BlackBerry 8700c, available exclusively through Cingular Wireless. The 8700c is set to go on sale on or about November 21st. The new 8700c will offer the standard Cingular MEdiaNet (WAP) web browser and possibly a new BlackBerry browser as well. Current Cingular BlackBerry’s only offer the standard WAP browser with limited access to most internet sites. The Intel processor is expected to improve overall performance, decrease lag between operations and open the doors to new third party applications that in the past bogged down the handset. The ultra-bright 320 x 240 LCD screen will also offer a new feature of auto backlight thanks to light sensing technology. Radio performance has also been improved over previous versions (a common complaint by BlackBerry users). Another BlackBerry first, is the option of Polyphonic and MP3 ringtones.
