Cingular Wireless Launches Cingular Video

Cingular Wireless today announced the upcoming launch of Cingular Video, an on-demand streaming video service that delivers fast, personalized access to high-quality video clips on consumers’ high-speed capable (3G) phones. Cingular Video uses the power of 3G phones as well as Cingular’s new high- speed UMTS/HSDPA wireless broadband network. Cingular had also announced a partnership with HBO to produce exclusive mobile content with two new services; HBO Mobile and HBO Family Mobile. HBO Mobile will allow customers to access exclusive content such as comedy specials, football commentary and boxing events. HBO Family Mobile is designed for younger viewers offering titles such as Crashbox, Frog Blues and more. The two handset that are being launched with Cingular Video capability, initially, are the Samsung SGH Zx-10 (flip) and the LG CU320 (rotary).
