January 21st, 2006
T-Mobile USA is prepared to release two new Windows Mobile 5 handhelds and is offering eager consumers the ability to pre-register for availability announcements. The all new MDA is a PDA style handset powered by Windows Mobile 5, as well as its little brother the SDA Smartphone. Both handsets are manufactured by HTC corporation which also provided the recently released Cingular 2125 and soon to be released 8125. Like the 8125, the T-Mobile MDA will offer a slide out QWERTY keyboard, Bluetooth and speakerphone. The SDA, is similar in form and function to the Cingular 2125 with the addition of dedicated music keys.
Both devices offer:
- GSM, GPRS, EDGE
- 1.3 megapixel camera
- Bluetooth
- Wi-Fi
- Speakerphone
Cingular wireless had received some bad press for not including Wi-Fi on their 2125 and may loose a few customers due to this limitation. T-Mobile is set to release the new MDA and SDA in early to mid February; potential customers can sign up at T-Mobile.com
