Opera Releases Opera Mini

Opera Software today announced the worldwide release of Opera Mini, the full Web browser that runs on almost every mobile phone, including low- and mid-end handsets.
The key to the Opera Mini browser is the incorporation of a proxy server, this allows devices not capable of high speed data connections to load pages at a faster rate without draining the device of its resources. The Opera Mini browser is available for most any data capable phone including most Windows Mobile based Smartphones. We have tested the Opera Mini so far on an EDGE compatible, 60 series Nokia and noticed dramatic improvements over the standard browser.
Opera Mini is available free of charge via WAP download at http://mini.opera.com, or for a small fee via SMS.
