How to: Using Voice Tags on Cingular 2125
February 5th, 2006Cingular Wireless was nice enough to ship us the all new 2125 Windows Mobile 5.0 Smartphone. We will be running the 2125 through some everyday testing and reporting back with a full review in the coming days. During that time we will be posting some articles with some useful information; our first article will explain how to use the voice activated dialing feature.
Settings the Voice Tag:
- From the standby screen press the right soft key for Contacts.
- Scroll to the contact you want to add a voice tag to, and select by pressing the action key.
- Select Menu, by pressing the right soft key.
- Scroll to Add voice tag, and select by pressing the action key.
- Say the voice tag after the prompt.
- The device will confirm that adding the voice tag was successful, press OK.
To use the Voice Tag:
- Press and hold volume-down key on the left side of the phone.
- The device will prompt you to speak. Clearly speak the voice tag you want to call.
- The device will locate a match and call the contact.
Voice activated dialing was not always my favorite feature, but some persons still prefer it.
