Cingular 8125 a.k.a HTC Wizard Now Available

Cingular 8125Cingular Wireless has officially released the company branded 8125 Pocket PC. The 8125 (a.k.a. HTC Wizard) supports Windows Mobile 5.0; the latest platform available from Microsoft for Windows based handhelds. HTC is the manufacture behind the 8125 and 2125 (released on December 12th), as well as many other Windows based devices supported by many other providers. HTC Corporation specializes in designing and manufacturing world-class mobile computing and communication solutions for OEM (original equipment manufacturer) and ODM (original design manufacturer) customers.

The 8125 replaces the Siemens SX66 in Cingular’s lineup of mobile email solution handhelds. Cingular’s Xpressmail, Goodlink and Microsoft ActiveSync mobile email and office solutions are supported on the 8125. Sliding the 8125 laterally reveals the full QWERTY keyboard which simultaneously rotates the touch screen from portrait to landscape mode for quick and easy mobile messaging. Other features include: Quad band technology (850/900/1800/1900), Bluetooth & Wi-Fi connectivity, 1.3 megapixel camera, a non camera version (8100) will also be available for those business class folks that are not allowed to carry cameras.

Currently the 8125 is being offered to Business customers on a limited basis, retail consumers can expect the device with in the next week.
