BlackBerry Connect for Treo Almost There…

BlackBerry Connect push email services can soon become available for Palm Treo users. Rumors have always mentioned the possibility of BlackBerry working with Palm engineers to complete this task but nothing solid has ever surfaced, until now. Andrew of Treonauts.com had the pleasure of actually using the BlackBerry Connect function at the 3GSM World Congress and running it through its functions.
Well, on the one hand I am happy to announce that BlackBerry Connect is actually ready and all that apparently remains to be done is final certification from Palm, carriers and RIM. However there’s no indication as to how long this certification process might take – it could be weeks or it could be months and since we’ve already been waiting over a year for it you’ll excuse me if I’m somewhat pessimistic about a speedy release.
Andrew had also mentioned that BlackBerry Connect would not be limited to only the PalmOS Treo 650 but the 700W would also be included. Release dates and provider support have not yet been announced.
