Sony Ericsson today announced the first ever camera phone available to carry the Cyber-shot name brand. Both devices will include a 3.2 Megapixel camera with auto focus, Xenon flash and Sony’s exclusive BestPic feature; Sony Ericsson’s unique imaging technology that allows you to capture exactly the moment you desire.

Advanced features include:

  • Memory for 100 pictures (at 3.2MP), 64 MB internal user memory
  • Auto red eye reduction
  • Picture Blogging (powered by Blogger)
  • Music Player (MP3, AAC, AAC+, eAAC+ support)
  • Bluetooth 2.0
  • Memory Stick Micro slot
  • 2.0” QVGA 262K TFT display

The K800 is a dual-mode handset supporting UMTS (2100 MHz) with GPRS as a fallback. Since the K800 will only support UMTS in the 2100 band do not expect availability in the United States. The K790 will be available in tri-band formats for markets across the world including 850 MHz with EDGE capabilities. Provider support has not yet been announced.
