Sony Ericsson Announces Z525 PTT
April 4th, 2006
Sony Ericsson announced today the Z525, a Push-to-Talk upgraded handset to the popular Z520 series currently available. Sony Ericsson did not mention which format of push-to-talk it will support, one can only assume it will be for Cingular Wireless since they are the only GSM push-to-talk provider in the United States.
Features include:
- VGA camera with 4X digital zoom
- Speakerphone
- GSM/GPRS 850/900/1800/1900 MHz
- Bluetooth
- Standard Email and IM clients
It is an exciting time to be at Sony Ericsson. The Z525 is further proof that Sony Ericsson can and will continue to create award-winning mobile devices that lead in design, quality and are easy to use. We are committed to offering a complete portfolio of handsets, PC cards and accessories for North American operators and consumers.
The Z525 is expected mid-2006 and since it does support 850 MHz we can expect it in the United States. Pricing and provider support has not yet been announced.
