Verizon Wireless Expands At Wal-Mart

June 20th, 2006

Verizon Wireless, a joint venture of Verizon Communications and Vodafone Group, expanded its product line at Wal-Mart Stores.

Now available at 1,950 locations from coast to coast, the companies plan to offer Verizon Wireless’ products and services at an additional 50 Wal-Mart locations by the end of the year. The availability of Verizon Wireless’ products and services at Wal-Mart follows Wal-Mart’s March introduction of INpulse, Verizon Wireless’ pay-as-you-go prepay service.

Wal-Mart customers may choose from top-of-the-line wireless phones to go with their Verizon Wireless monthly service plans, including the LG VX5200 and the V CAST Music-enabled VX8300; Motorola V325 and the new multimedia RAZR V3m; and Samsung SCH-a930 V CAST Music-enabled phone.

Wal-Mart, Bentonville, Ark., is the world’s largest retailer.
