Cingular Wireless Investing $46 Million in Las Vegas Coverage
June 29th, 2006LAS VEGAS, Nev., June 29 — Cingular Wireless, the nation’s largest wireless carrier, continues to grow its network in the greater Las Vegas area. The company today announced plans to add more than 60 new cell sites in the area this year, as part of its $46 million investment to expand the network and enhance service. Off to a fast start, 33 new cell sites are already on-air.
Cingular’s network investment will have a direct impact on enhancing coverage and services for wireless consumers in communities stretching from the north end of North Las Vegas to the south end of Anthem, and Lake Las Vegas to Spring Mountain Ranch State Park. In addition to the new cell sites, the investment will deliver other improvements, including new switches, portable and permanent generators, and other enhancements to the nation’s largest all-digital voice and data network.
