Verizon Wireless V CASTs Live Concerts

July 10th, 2006

Verizon Wireless is taking the wraps off its new V CAST Performances service, which will give V CAST subscribers access to broadband-quality video clips from more than 50 live music performances.

The first footage available to subscribers with V CAST-enabled handsets will come from concert footage of Gavin DeGraw and rock band Live, as well as an exclusive performance by emerging artist Cheyenne Kimball in New York City this evening.

The service will include club and theatre performances, tours presented by Verizon Wireless and special live performance events, according to the carrier. Customers who still want more can download streaming video clips of the live music performances as well as new music videos. The V CAST Performance series will feature up to three video clips of every artist in the series.

V CAST Performances is for mobile phone users who are passionate about music and seek the one-of-a-kind music experiences unique to live performances. V CAST Performances let fans experience the excitement of live music shows on the one device they always have with them.

Verizon is not charging an additional fee to view the V CAST Performances clips, but customers must have a monthly V CAST Vpak subscription and a V CAST-enabled phone.
