Ericsson Delivers HSDPA To SmarTone Vodafone Hong Kong
July 31st, 2006Swedish telecommunications equipment maker Ericsson, Monday said Hong Kong mobile operator SmarTone-Vodafone is launching a commercial mobile broadband service with full HSDPA coverage in Hong Kong.
Ericsson said this launch follows the successful upgrade by Ericsson of SmarTone-Vodafone’s third generation wideband code division multiple access network (WCDMA) with high speed downlink packet access (HSDPA).
Under the agreement, Ericsson said it has delivered HSDPA hardware, software and implementation services.
