Alltel Releases Samsung SCH-u420 Slider

Alltel Wireless announced today the exclusive release of the SCH-u420 from Samsung. The u420 is the first handset from Alltel Wireless to feature newly enhanced Axcess Shop capability, enabling customers to download rich content and data applications such as XM Radio and Axcess Mobilcast, ringtones, games and more. The new Axcess Shop, built on QUALCOMM’s uiOne technology, features such applications as World Series of Poker Texas Hold’em by Glu Mobile, Realtone Jukebox by 9Squared, and Axcess Wallpaper Powered by Digital Orchid.
The u420 from Samsung is a slim, very stylish slider that will appeal to customers who are looking for a phone that combines a distinctive design with high-tech, easy-to-use features. In addition, we’re excited that the u420 introduces Alltel’s redesigned Axcess Shop with customer-friendly components such as data application previews and featured apps.
Alltel customers can expect to see the u420 in retail locations beginning tomorrow and will be available for $49.99 after rebates and get a second for free. New two-year service agreement is required.
