Verizon Wireless and Research In Motion announced today the new 8703e BlackBerry handheld. Beginning September 17th Verizon Wireless subscribers will be able purchase the new EV-DO capable BlackBerry.
The 8703e from Verizon Wireless offers a large bright LCD display and full â€˜qwertyâ€™ keyboard. EV-DO data rates of 400 to 700 kbps will allow for high speed transmission of email, documents and web browsing. Verizon Wireless also offers BroadbandAccess Connect which will allow subscribers to tether the BlackBerry handheld to a laptop for mobile internet connectivity.
The BlackBerry 8703e will be available from Verizon Wireless for $349.99 with a new two-year customer agreement.
