
Nortel to Showcase 4G Mobile Broadband at Upcoming WiMAX World
October 4th, 2006Nortel is set to play a major role in the WiMAX World USA 2006 Conference and Exposition scheduled for October 10-12 in Boston. In conjunction with the event, Nortel will share new elements of the Company’s WiMAX strategy that reinforce its commitment to enabling mobile broadband access anywhere, anytime, and on virtually any device.
On October 10, chief technology officer, John Roese, will deliver a keynote presentation as part of the Mobile Broadband Summit. The presentation, titled “Personal Broadband: the Forest Beyond the Trees,” takes place at 11:00 a.m. EDT.
The next day, October 11, features a keynote address by Peter MacKinnon, the newly appointed general manager of Nortel’s WiMAX organization and chairman of the LG-Nortel joint venture. MacKinnon will speak at 10:00 a.m. EDT, just prior to the expo hall opening. The topic of his presentation is “4G or Next-G?”
