Embarq Releases Press & Talk

Embarq announced today the immediate availability of its new service titled Wireless Press & Talk. The service is almost identical to push to talk service offered by the parent company Sprint-Nextel. Wireless Press & Talk allows users to operate their wireless phone as a walkie-talkie like device with the push of a button. Embarq subscribers can add the service to compatible devices for $5.95 a month.
Initially the service will be available on the new Sanyo 2400 which is being offered for $29.99 with a new two-year service agreement.
