
Cingular Announces BlackBerry Pearl

Cingular Wireless officially announced today release information of the new BlackBerry Pearl. Until now T-Mobile had exclusive sales rights of the Pearl and had only been strong rumor for Cingular Wireless. The Pearl is the first BlackBerry to offer a camera and to have its popular scroll wheel replaced by its signature trackball.
BlackBerry Pear features include:
- Bluetooth
- 1.3 megapixel camera
- Ultra-bright 240×260 color display
- Speakerphone
- 64MB built-in flash memory, expandable via MicroSD
- SureType keyboard technology
- Support for polyphonic, mp3 and MIDI ring tones
- Multimedia player with stereo headset jack for MP3 and AAC music files, as well as MPEG4 and H.263 video formats
- 1.3 megapixel camera with zoom and built-in flash
- Cingular Push to Talk (PTT)
- TeleNav GPS Navigator
Starting tomorrow Cingular Wireless subscribers will be able to purchase the new BlackBerry Pearl for $199.99 after rebates and new two-year service agreement.
