
Google Launches New Mobile Gmail Client

Google announced today the release of its new Java based mobile email client. Access to your Gmail account from a mobile phone is nothing new, but Google engineers had taking it one step further to make it a more simple and seamless task.
The new application is only available for Java enabled handsets, or devices that can have Java installed separately.
Sprint has made it easy for their subscribers by adding a link from the Sprint Power Vision home page.
If your phone is supported you can simply point your phones browser to www.gmail.com/app.
XM Satellite Radio and Cingular Wireless announced today a new partnership to allow Cingular subscribers to access 25 new XM music channels from their mobile handsets. Release is scheduled for November 6th, and can run customers an addition $8.99 per month.
Symantec announced today the availability of its new Mobile AntiVirus 4.0 for Windows Mobile 5.0 PocketPC’s and Smartphones. Symantec Mobile AntiVirus 4.0 for Windows Mobile uses Symantec’s LiveUpdate Wireless service to automatically update threat protection signatures to ensure protection against new viruses, Trojans, and worms. Additionally, the centralized management feature enables administrators to configure, lock, and enforce security policies on the handset from a centralized console. 
Embarq announced today the immediate availability of its new service titled Wireless Press & Talk. The service is almost identical to push to talk service offered by the parent company Sprint-Nextel. Wireless Press & Talk allows users to operate their wireless phone as a walkie-talkie like device with the push of a button. Embarq subscribers can add the service to compatible devices for $5.95 a month.
Idokorro Mobile announced today the availability of Mobile File Manager 2.0 for BlackBerry handsets. Mobile File Manager offers users the ability to access and manage local and remote files from their BlackBerry handset.
