Motorola Q Spotted at E3 2006

Motorola Gizmodo reports that Bill Gates and his associate had flashed the crowd of E3 2006 with a quick glimpse of the Motorola Q Windows Mobile Pocket 5.0 handheld. Motorola is also preparing for the release of the Q with an updated Coming Soon page which can be found here.

Voice, data and multimedia in Motorola’s thinnest full-function smartphone. While the new Motorola Q is 50% thinner than other smartphones, don’t let its sleek styling and incredible thinness fool you. The Motorola Q is a full-function smartphone with superior voice quality, data and multimedia capabilities.

The Motorola Q was originally set to release in late April of 2006 for Verizon Wireless customers, but had been delayed for unknown reasons.

Handango Powers Windows Mobile Application Catalog

Alltel Signs new Roaming Agreements

AllTel Sprint CingularAlltel announced today new roaming agreements with Sprint and Cingular Wireless. Alltel and Sprint had signed in a 10 year roaming agreement that includes voice and data services allowing customers for both companies to roam on each other’s network. The agreement is effective July 1, 2006 and covers CDMA voice services along with 1X and EV-DO data services.

The new agreement expands our current voice and data roaming relationship while providing customers greater access to services in more places. Our technology alignment ensures an improved seamless roaming experience for text messaging, call/messaging notification and mobile broadband services.

Alltel’s current agreement with Cingular wireless has been extended until 2012, allowing customers for both companies to roam on each other’s network. The agreement covers GSM voice and data services and allows for expansion of GSM into heritage Alltel markets.

HTC Releases the STRTrk
