Cingular Introduces LG CU400 with Push to Talk

Cingular LG cu400Cingular Wireless and LG have announced the release of the new LG CU400, Cingular’s first 3G phone to also offer Push to Talk (PTT) services. Push to Talk voice capabilities allows customers the ability to see whether their contacts are available to talk before they attempt a call to them. Cingular’s PTT service allows one to one communication or a group of up to 30 persons at the same time.

LG CU400 features include:

  • Bluetooth
  • Speakerphone
  • 176 x 220 pixel internal, 96 x 64 pixel external displays
  • VGA camera with 4x zoom & video
  • Cingular Video capabilities
  • Instant messaging – AOL, Yahoo!, ICQ, & MSN
  • Quad-band world phone – 850/900/1800/1900 MHz
  • 3G Data Transmission GPRS/EDGE/UMTS

Sony Ericsson Announces Z310

Sony Ericsson Z310Sony Ericsson announced today the all new Z310 clamshell phone. The Z310 is part of a new line of handsets that offer a seamless, semi-transparent finish on the front half that hides all of the display icons beneath the surface.

Z310 features include:

  • 128 x 160 Internal, 96 x 64 external displays
  • VGA camera
  • Triple band/EDGE/GPRS 900/1800/1900
  • Bluetooth
  • Speakerphone
  • Instant Messaging and email capable

The Sony Ericsson Z310 will be available in three colors: Jet Set Black, Blush Bronze and Lush Pink. Since the Z310 will not be offering the 850 MHz frequency used commonly in North America, there is not much of a chance this phone will make it to the U.S.

Sprint Releases Mobile Email Client

Sprint Mobile EmailSprint recently announced availability of its new mobile email client powered by SEVEN. Sprint Mobile Email allows users easy access to multiple email accounts from one device.

With Sprint Mobile Email, Sprint customers now have one place to go to check all of their email right on their wireless phones. By making mobile email look and act closer to the desktop email experience, Sprint is giving its customers a familiar and easy way to access multiple email accounts while on the go.

Sprint Mobile Email is a free download available for most currently offered Sprint and Nextel phones, additional devices are to be released in the near future. Standard data rates will apply.

Cingular Announces BlackBerry Pearl

Cingular Announces BlackBerry PearlCingular Wireless officially announced today release information of the new BlackBerry Pearl. Until now T-Mobile had exclusive sales rights of the Pearl and had only been strong rumor for Cingular Wireless. The Pearl is the first BlackBerry to offer a camera and to have its popular scroll wheel replaced by its signature trackball.

BlackBerry Pear features include:

  • 1.3 megapixel camera
  • Ultra-bright 240×260 color display
  • Speakerphone

Nokia announced today plans to release four new mobile phones including three mid-range models as well as a new entry level model.

Nokia 2626 (pictured left) is Nokia’s new entry level handset which is expected to be available in a range of bolds colors and offer a FM radio.

Nokia 6300 (second from left) is a new mid-range handset sporting a new stainless steel frame for both style and strength.
